Estrenada película filmada en Mobile
MOBILE, Ala. — La nueva película de Lionsgate, “About My Father,” se estrenó en los cines de todo el país el 26 de mayo. Protagonizada por Robert De Niro, fue la primera película realizada en el área de Mobile después de que la pandemia de COVID-19 cerrara la industria cinematográfica local durante un año entero.
Para muchos equipos y talentos locales, este también fue su primer trabajo en la industria después de la pandemia. “About My Father” empleó a 107 miembros del equipo de filmación local de Alabama y 500 actores secundarios del área. También utilizó varias empresas, hogares y ubicaciones locales.

Movie filmed in Mobile released
MOBILE, Ala. — The new Lionsgate film “About My Father” was released in theaters nationwide on May 26. Starring Robert De Niro, it was the first film made in the Mobile area after the COVID-19 pandemic shut down the local film industry for an entire year.
For many local crew and talent, this was also their first work in the industry after the pandemic. “About My Father” employed 107 local film crew members from Alabama and 500 background actors from the area. It also utilized several local businesses, homes and locations.
Prior to the movie’s release, leaders from the City of Mobile’s Film Office and some of the residents who worked on or participated in the film participated in a local press conference about the nationwide release of the movie and the film’s impact on the local industry.
