El Tour navideño de las casas en DeFuniak Springs es patrocinado por la histórica Iglesia Episcopal de St. Agatha nuevamente este año. Como es tradicional, el recorrido es el primer sábado de diciembre, 3 de diciembre, de 10 a. m. a 5 p. m. Las ganancias beneficiarán al Fondo de Preservación de la iglesia, reservado para el mantenimiento de las estructuras históricas de St. Agatha en los terrenos de la iglesia.

La Iglesia patrocinó por última vez la gira en 2019 mostrando ocho casas decoradas para Navidad. Si hay un tema para el 2022, podría ser la preservación histórica, planeada, en progreso o completada, y las nueve casas seleccionadas representan las tres categorías. Además, hay tres negocios ubicados en edificios de los 1900’s que recientemente completaron restauraciones. La Iglesia Presbiteriana y Episcopal, con sus dos propiedades históricas adicionales, son sitios adicionales seleccionados para el recorrido. Después del recorrido, la Biblioteca, el Museo, el Mercado del Muérdago y la Bodega Chautauqua se suman a los atractivos que el visitante no debe perderse.

Entonces asegúrese de ver el Festival de los árboles en el edificio Chautauqua recientemente restaurado y los Reflejos navideños también estarán en exhibición con 9 millones de luces en el parque que rodea el lago perfectamente redondo.

Christmas Tour of Homes in DeFuniak Springs begins Dec. 3

decorated christmas treeThe Christmas Tour of Homes in DeFuniak Springs is sponsored by historic St. Agatha’s Episcopal Church again this year.  As is traditional, the tour is on the first Saturday in December, Dec. 3, from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. Proceeds will benefit the church’s Preservation Fund, reserved for the upkeep of St. Agatha’s historic structures on the church grounds.

The Church last sponsored the tour in 2019 showcasing eight homes, decorated for Christmas. If there is a theme for 2022 it might be historic preservation, planned, in progress or completed, and the nine homes selected represent all three categories. In addition, there are three businesses located in circa 1900 buildings that have recently completed restorations. The Presbyterian and the Episcopal Church, with its two additional historic home properties, are extra sites selected for the tour.  After the tour, the Library, the Museum, the Mistletoe Market, and the Chautauqua Winery are added attractions that visitors should not miss.

Then be sure to see the Festival of Trees in the recently restored Chautauqua Building and Christmas Reflections will also be on display features 9 million lights in the park that surrounds the perfectly round lake.
