Programa de AARP Smart Driver se ofrecerá en español en Pensacola

PENSACOLA, Fla. – La experiencia de manejo es significativamente diferente a la de hace una década: cambiar de vehículo, cambiar de tecnología, cambiar las reglas de tránsito e incluso cambiar de camino. Los residentes pueden actualizar sus habilidades y tener la oportunidad de ahorrar dinero en su seguro de automóvil con el curso AARP Smart DriverTM que se ofrece en el Sacred Heart Hospital, Cancer Center, el 10 de abril de 2019 desde las 9 a.m. hasta las 3 p.m.

El plan de estudios se desarrolló después de un estudio de investigación de dos años realizado por Eastern Virginia Medical School y ayuda a los conductores a mantenerse al día con las leyes de conducción y las nuevas tecnologías dentro y fuera de los vehículos. Los participantes también aprenderán habilidades de manejo defensivo, estrategias de seguridad comprobadas y cómo manejar y acomodar los cambios comunes relacionados con la edad en la visión, la audición y el tiempo de reacción.

No se requieren exámenes para aprobar el curso, y participantes son elegibles para un descuento de seguro de varios años después de tomar el curso. Se les recomienda a los participantes a consultar con su agente de seguros para ver si son elegibles.

El costo del curso es $15 para miembros de AARP y $20 si no es miembro de AARP. El curso tendrá lugar en Sacred Heart Cancer Center cuya dirección es 1545 Airport Blvd. Piso 3, Salón A. Para inscribirse en el curso de 6 horas llamar al instructor, Fernando Guédez, al (850)287-0547.

AARP Smart Driver Course to Be Offered in Spanish in Pensacola

PENSACOLA, Fla. – The driving experience is significantly different from even a decade ago—changing vehicles, changing technology, changing road rules, and even changing roadways. Residents can refresh their skills and have the opportunity to save money on their car insurance with the AARP Smart DriverTM course being offered at Sacred Heart Hospital, Cancer Center, on April 10, 2019 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The curriculum was developed following a two-year research study conducted by Eastern Virginia Medical School and helps drivers stay current with driving laws and new technologies inside and outside of vehicles. Participants will also learn defensive driving skills, proven safety strategies and how to manage and accommodate common age-related changes in vision, hearing and reaction time.

There are no tests required to pass the course, and participants are eligible for a multi-year insurance discount after taking the course. Participants are encouraged to check with their insurance agent to see if they are eligible.

The cost of the class is $15 for AARP members and $20 for non-members. The location of the class is at Sacred Heart Cancer Center at 1545 Airport Blvd., third floor, room A. To register for the six hour course, call instructor Fernando Guédez at (850)287-0547. Walk-ins are welcome.
