Ladrón se identifica a las víctimas durante el robo
DESTIN, Fla. – El informe de la Oficina del Sheriff del Condado de Okaloosa dice que los agentes respondieron a una llamada de un robo en progreso alrededor de la 1:40 a.m. del 25 de agosto en una casa en la Sibert Avenue.
Una pareja de Destin que se despertó con el sonido de cristales rotos en medio de la noche encontró a un hombre descalzo parado en una habitación de su casa, enredado en cortinas con un marco de ventana envuelto alrededor de su cintura. Uno de los propietarios se enfrentó al intruso y lo escoltó fuera de la casa. Él dice que le preguntó su nombre al ladrón y el hombre se identificó como “Vinnie García” antes de irse.
Cuando llegaron los agentes, vieron a García alejándose rápidamente cerca de la esquina de Sibert Ave y Pine St. Garcia recibió instrucciones de detenerse y arrodillarse, pero se negó y dijo que se iba a casa. Después de ignorar múltiples órdenes, García fue electrocutado y puesto bajo custodia. Se negó a responder cualquier pregunta sobre el robo.
Los agentes dicen que García tenía cortes menores en sus manos y pies por la ventana rota.
Burglar identifies himself to victims during burglary
DESTIN, Fla. – The Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office report says deputies responded to a call of a burglary in progress around 1:40 a.m. on August 25 at a home on Sibert Avenue.
A Destin couple who awoke to the sound of breaking glass in the middle of the night found a barefoot man standing in a room of their house, tangled in drapes with a window frame wrapped around his waist. One of the homeowners had confronted the intruder and escorted him out of the house. He says he asked the burglar for his name and the man identified himself as “Vinnie Garcia” before leaving.
When deputies arrived, they spotted Garcia walking away quickly near the corner of Sibert Ave and Pine St. Garcia was instructed to stop and get on his knees but refused and said he was going home. After ignoring multiple commands Garcia was tazed and taken into custody. He refused to answer any questions about the break-in.
Deputies say Garcia had minor cuts on his hands and feet from the broken window.
