Perdiendo a Armando Manzanero y a Tito Rojas
Los amantes de la música de todo el mundo están de luto por la pérdida de dos íconos de la música, Armando Manzanero y Tito Rojas.
Los informes dicen que el legendario compositor mexicano, Manzanero, dio positivo al COVID-19 a mediados de diciembre cuando fue ingresado en un hospital en la Ciudad de México. Murió el 28 de diciembre a la edad de 85 años.
Las canciones de Manzanero fueron interpretadas por artistas megaestrellas como Elvis Presley y Luis Miguel y su genio influyó en millones.
“Tengo amigos en México que estudiaron con el Maestro Manzanero,” dijo el animador local Amid Montelongo. “Personalmente, no tuve el honor de conocerlo, pero la infinidad de canciones y el talento del Maestro son inigualables. Que Dios lo tenga en su gloria y en otra vida, espero tener el honor de conocerlo y hacer música juntos.
Tito Rojas, también conocido como “El Gallo Salsero,” falleció el 26 de diciembre tras sufrir un infarto en su ciudad natal de Humacao, Puerto Rico, a los 65 años.
Artistas como Rubén Blades, Maelo Ruiz, Elvis Crespo y Don Omar compartieron palabras de duelo en las redes sociales.

Music lovers around the world are mourning the losses of two music icons, Armando Manzanero and Tito Rojas.
Reports say legendary Mexican composer, Manzanero tested positive for COVID-19 in mid-December when he was admitted to a hospital in Mexico City. He died on December 28 at the age of 85.
Manzanero’s songs were interpreted by megastar artists including Elvis Presley and Luis Miguel and his genius influenced millions.
“I have friends in Mexico who studied with the Maestro Manzanero,” said local entertainer Amid Montelongo. “Personally, I did not have the honor of meeting him, but the infinity of songs and the talent of the Maestro are unmatched. May God have him in his glory and in another life, I hope to have the honor meet him and make music together
Tito Rojas, also known as “El Gallo Salsero,” died on December 26 after suffering a heart attack in his hometown of Humacao, Puerto Rico. He was 65.
