La Ciudad de DeFuniak Springs Celebra Ceremonia de Inauguración en el Aeropuerto Municipal
Proyecto de Terminal de Aviación de $6.9 Millones Próximamente
DEFUNIAK SPRINGS, Fla. – La ciudad de DeFuniak Springs organizó una ceremonia inaugural en el Aeropuerto Municipal de DeFuniak Springs el 3 de mayo del 2022 en la terminal del aeropuerto ubicado en 1931 U.S. Highway 90 West, DeFuniak Springs.
El proyecto de $6.9 millones construirá una nueva terminal para el aeropuerto que sirve a la aviación general y corporativa. La misión del aeropuerto es ser el principal aeropuerto de aviación general en la Costa Esmeralda y el aeropuerto de entrada a las playas de South Walton. Se espera que el proyecto se complete dentro de 20 meses, excluyendo los retrasos en la cadena de suministro.
“El proyecto de la terminal del aeropuerto ha sido un trabajo de amor durante varios años. La pandemia y el clima económico ciertamente han planteado desafíos; sin embargo, nos complace enormemente anunciar que comenzará la construcción de esta instalación distintiva,” dijo el director del aeropuerto, Dan Edwards.
City of DeFuniak Springs Holds Groundbreaking Ceremony at Municipal Airport
$6.9 Million Aviation Terminal Project Coming Soon
DEFUNIAK SPRINGS, Fla. – The City of DeFuniak Springs hosted a groundbreaking ceremony at the DeFuniak Springs Municipal Airport on May 3, 2022 at the Airport terminal located at 1931 U.S. Highway 90 West, DeFuniak Springs.
The $6.9 million project will build a new terminal for the airport which serves general and corporate aviation. The mission of the airport is to be the premier general aviation airport on the Emerald Coast and the gateway airport to the beaches of South Walton. The project is expected to be completed within 20 months, excluding supply chain delays.
“The airport terminal project has been a labor of love for several years. The pandemic and economic climate have certainly posed challenges; however, we’re extremely pleased to announce construction will begin on this hallmark facility,” said Airport Director Dan Edwards.
