GULF BREEZE, Fla. – Un nuevo libro de la autora colombiana, Patty Illescas, aborda el dolor de estar rodeado de relaciones tóxicas. A los 50 años, Illescas reconoció que era adicta a las situaciones destructivas y recurrió a Dios en busca de ayuda. “Espero que mi historia ayude a otros a darse cuenta de que pueden vivir una buena vida sin ser maltratados, que pueden recibir ayuda y que no están solos,” dijo Illescas. “El primer paso es reconocer que estás en una situación dañina o que estás siendo tóxico.

Illescas agregó que, en su libro, ella explica los pasos que tomó para sobrevivir y cómo encontró a Dios en el proceso. Ella dice que su historia puede ayudar a las personas a reconocer situaciones dañinas y pedir ayuda a la comunidad y a Dios.
