Como saben, hemos entrado en esta importante temporada: la temporada electoral. ¿Qué mejor manera de participar en el proceso democrático que votando? En el condado de Escambia, la elección primaria es el martes 23 de agosto del 2022. Animo a cada uno de ustedes a votar en la primaria de agosto.
A partir del 2021, las leyes de votación del estado de Florida han cambiado; particularmente con el actual Sistema de Voto por Correo. Para asegurarse de que se escuche su voz y se cuente su voto, asegúrese de consultar con el Supervisor de Elecciones del Condado de Escambia para asegurarse de que su capacidad para votar no se haya visto afectada por las nuevas leyes. Puede actualizar su registro de votante actual incluyendo su licencia de conducir de Florida/número de tarjeta de identificación del estado de Florida, así como su número de seguro social. Es posible que más de 14,000 votantes del condado de Escambia hayan recibido información del Supervisor de Elecciones solicitando información adicional de los votantes afectados. As you know, we have entered this important season – Election Season. What better way to engage in the democratic process other than to vote? In Escambia County, the Primary Election is Tuesday, August 23, 2022. I encourage each of you to vote in the August Primary.
As of 2021, voting laws for the state of Florida have changed; particularly with the current Vote-By-Mail System. To ensure that your voice is heard and your vote is counted, be sure to check with the Escambia County Supervisor of Elections to ensure that your ability to vote has not been impacted by the new laws. You can update your current Voter Registration by including your Florida Driver’s License/Florida State Identification Card Number as well as your Social Security Number. Over 14,000 Escambia County Voters have may have received information from the Supervisor of Elections requesting additional information from impacted voters. If you received a letter… DO NOT DELAY…ACT Now. You can find addition information by going online to escambiavotes.gov or contacting the Supervisor of Elections Office at (850) 595-3900 or Toll Free at 1-877-595-VOTE (8683).
If you are not yet registered to vote, it is not to late! The last day to register and be eligible to vote in the Primary Election is Monday, July 25, 2022. Early Voting is August 13 – 20, 2022 and Primary Election Day is Tuesday, August 23, 2022. You can register to vote online through the Supervisor of Elections office.
