Villegas obtiene la certificación MD Anderson
PENSACOLA, Fla. – Certificado por el concejo el oncólogo quirúrgico Dr. Leo Villegas se ha convertido en un proveedor certificado a través de la MD Anderson Cancer Network™.
El Dr. Villegas es un cirujano certificado por el concejo y el único oncólogo quirúrgico entrenado con becas entre Mobile y Tallahassee. Es miembro del personal médico del Sacred Heart Cancer Center. El Dr. Villegas se formó en la Harvard Medical School y completó una beca de oncología hepatobiliar y quirúrgica de dos años en el Duke University Medical Center. Durante su estancia en la Duke University, realizó una investigación en laparoscopia y el uso de la robótica en procedimientos mínimamente invasivos. El Dr. Villegas se especializa en el tratamiento quirúrgico avanzado de tumores hepáticos, pancreáticos y gastrointestinales.
Para obtener esta certificación, el Dr. Villegas fue nominado por el Sacred Heart Cancer Center, fue sometido a una revisión exhaustiva y luego fue presentado al MD Anderson Physicians Network Credentials Committee.

PENSACOLA, Fla. – Board-certified surgical oncologist Dr. Leo Villegas has become a certified provider through the MD Anderson Cancer Network™.
Dr. Villegas is a board-certified surgeon and the only fellowship-trained surgical oncologist between Mobile and Tallahassee. He is a member of the medical staff at Sacred Heart Cancer Center. Dr. Villegas trained at Harvard Medical School and completed a two-year hepatobiliary and surgical oncology fellowship at Duke University Medical Center. While at Duke University, he conducted research in laparoscopy and the use of robotics in minimally invasive procedures. Dr. Villegas specializes in the advanced surgical treatment of liver, pancreatic and gastrointestinal tumors.
To earn this certification, Dr. Villegas was nominated by the Sacred Heart Cancer Center, underwent a thorough review and was then presented to the MD Anderson Physicians Network Credentials Committee.
