PENSACOLA, Fla. – El profesor de la Universidad de Florida Paul Ortiz (Ph.D. Duke University, 2000) leerá y presentará su libro An African American and Latinx History of the United States que recibió el Premio PEN Oakland-Josephine Miles 2018 a la Excelencia Literaria.

Beacon Press describe el libro como una historia narrativa revolucionaria y políticamente cargada contada desde los puntos de vista interconectados de latinos y afroamericanos.

Beacon Press describes the book as a revolutionary and politically charged narrative story told from the interconnected views of Latinos and African Americans.

The event will take place on Saturday, February 29, 2020 at 4 p.m. at Pensacola State College in the Hagler Auditorium, Building 2 at 1000 College Blvd, Pensacola FL 32504.

The event is sponsored by the African American Heritage Society Preservation Network, Pensacola State College, African American Student Association and The Black History/Multicultural Committee.
