Sirviendo a nuestra comunidad con Latin Touch
PENSACOLA, Fla. – Una peluquera local decidió saludar el 2019 al retribuir a su comunidad. Yenny Yems, propietaria de Latin Touch Hair Salon en Davis Hwy. en Pensacola, anunció una convocatoria de nominaciones para mujeres merecedoras que apreciarían un cambio de imagen. El cambio de imagen incluía color de cabello, corte, tratamiento profundo y estilo.
“Solo quería compartir mi talento para ayudar a algunas mujeres a sentir un poco de alegría y seguir animadas,” dijo Yems.
Ocho nominaciones fueron enviadas a la página de Facebook del Periódico La Costa Latina. Sus historias iban desde madres solteras que trabajan arduamente para ayudar a sus hijos a mujeres que solo necesitan un impulso de autoestima. Lisa Bocanegra, Veronica Amador y Wendy Martinez fueron elegidas por la propia Yems.
“[Mis hijos] están impactados por el cambio,” dijo Lisa Bocanegra, quien optó por un cambio radical de color. “¡Me encanta!”
Amador fue quizás la más expresiva sobre el regalo de belleza de Yems.
“Me encanta mi cambio de imagen. Yenny hizo un excelente trabajo. Fue una hermosa experiencia,” dijo Amador. “Mi esposo y mis hijos estaban fascinados.”
Martínez expresó su gratitud por el cambio de imagen de Yems y por la persona que la nominó.
“Estoy muy agradecida con ella y estoy muy feliz,” dijo Martínez.
Todos los tratamientos de Yems fueron realmente nuevas imagenes. Las fotos de antes y después muestran los cambios dramáticos.

PENSACOLA, Fla. – A local hair stylist decided to greet 2019 by giving back to her community. Yenny Yems, owner of Latina Touch Hair Salon on Davis Hwy in Pensacola announced a call for nominations for deserving women who would appreciate a hair makeover. The makeover included hair color, cut, deep treatment and style.
“I just wanted to share my talent to help some women feel some joy and stay encouraged,” Yems said.
Eight nominations were submitted to La Costa Latina Newspaper’s Facebook page. Their stories ranged from single mothers working hard to provide for their kids to women just needing a boost of self-esteem. Lisa Bocanegra, Veronica Amador and Wendy Martinez were chosen by Yems herself.
“[My kids] are impacted by the change,” said Lisa Bocanegra, who opted for a radical color change. “I love it!”
Amador was perhaps the most expressive about Yems’ gift of beauty.
“I love my makeover. Yenny did an excellent job. It was a beautiful experience,” Amador said. “My husband and my kids were fascinated.”
Martinez expressed gratitude for the Yems’ makeover and for the person who nominated her.
“I am very grateful to her and I am very happy,” Martinez said.
