PENSACOLA, Fla. – Healthy Gulf, 350 Pensacola y Climate Togetehr Pensacola invitan a la comunidad a aprender más sobre el Dr. King por parte de Jawana V. Jackson, fundadora de The House by the Side of the Road. La presentación se llevará a cabo en la Biblioteca Pública de Pensacola en 239 N. Spring Street en Pensacola, el martes 9 de mayo a las 5:30 p.m.
La familia de la Sra. Jackson recibía regularmente al Dr. King en su casa mientras ella crecía en Selma, Alabama, incluida una estadía de seis meses del Dr. King mientras planeaba la Marcha de Selma a Montgomery.
Mike Will, profesor de inglés de Pensacola State College, nos ayuda a mejor comprender qué hizo que el Dr. King fuera un comunicador tan efectivo. El Sr. Will explora elementos del discurso Tengo un Sueño del Dr. King y cómo podemos aprender a mejor estructurar nuestra comunicación oral. PENSACOLA, Fla. – Healthy Gulf, 350 Pensacola and Climate Togetehr Pensacola invite the community to learn more about Dr. King from Jawana V. Jackson, Founder of The House by the Side of the Road. The presentation will be held at the Pensacola Public Library at 239 N. Spring Street in Pensacola, Tues., May 9 at 5:30 p.m.
Mrs. Jackson’s family regularly hosted Dr. King in her home while she was growing-up in Selma, Alabama, including a six-month stay by Dr. King as he planned the Selma to Montgomery March.
Mike Will, Pensacola State College Professor of English, helps us better understand what made Dr. King such an effective communicator. Mr. Will explores elements of Dr. King’s I Have a Dream speech, and how we can learn to better structure our oral communication. Examples of current environmental issues will be used to demonstrate more effective communication skills.
