Festival Latino 2018
PENSAFOLA, Fla.–-El festival latino anual está programado para el domingo 11 de noviembre desde el mediodía hasta las 8 p.m. en Belmont St. y DeVilliers St. en Pensacola. Justo cuando crees que no podría mejorar, La Costa Latina tiene otra línea innovadora lista para Pensacola con una variedad de música y festividades tan eclécticas como el mundo latino en sí.
La instructora peruana de zumba, Vanessa Mills, calentara a la multitud con una coreografía de alta energía pero fácil de seguir para configurar lo que se ve en un día de música y baile. El calendario de este año presenta a artistas locales nuevos en el escenario del Festival Latino. Angelz Music llenará las calles con su música urbana recién estrenada y el espectáculo de Alexa Yanez rinde homenaje al fallecido Juan Gabriel. El recién llegado Gabriel Acero trae banda y un poco de música de mariachi en el horario de la tarde, y los favoritos locales Jay el Revelde y Karina encienden su química cuando forman una mezcla de reggaeton, urbano, merengue y mambo.
Este no es el momento para sentarse y relajarse. El Krew de Karnaval de Pensacola desfila por las calles y sube al escenario con invitados especiales Casa Samba para celebrar una celebración a gran escala al estilo de Carnaval. El equipo con base en Nueva Orleans, que incluye bateristas, caminantes sobre pilotes y bailarines de samba llenará el escenario con colores brillantes y exuberantes.
Fermin y Merengue 4 están de vuelta! Una de las bandas de merengue más emocionantes de la región regresa al Festival Latino para llevar las festividades a la noche cuando la banda de duranguese Mazizo Musical s7e hará cargo y cerrará el festival.
Los DJs Pablo, Snoopy y Roel ayudarán a que las actividades sigan avanzando, incluido el mega rompe piñatas anual, y presentaciones de orgullo de grupos folclóricos y las damas de Kappa Delta Chi, la primera hermandad de mujeres latinas de la Universidad de West Florida.
La admisión es gratis, pero venga preparado para apoyar a nuestros proveedores. Les pedimos a los visitantes que no traigan alimentos ni bebidas de afuera y considere donar lo que pueda para ayudar a comprar materiales de construcción para ayudar a reparar los hogares de familias migrantes que fueron dañados por el Huracán Michael.

PENSAFOLA, Fla. – The annual Latino Festival is set for Sunday, November 11 from noon until 8 p.m. at Belmont St. and DeVilliers St. in Pensacola. Just when you think it couldn’t get any better, La Costa Latina has another groundbreaking lineup ready for Pensacola with a variety of music and festivities as eclectic as the Latin world itself.
Peruvian Zumba instructor, Vanessa Mills warms up the crowd with a high energy yet easy to follow choreography to set the seen for a day of music and dancing. This year’s schedule introduces local artists new to the Latino Festival stage. Angelz Music will fill the streets with his newly released urban music and Alexa Yanez’s show pays homage to the late, great Juan Gabriel. Newcomer Gabriel Acero brings banda and a little mariachi music do the afternoon schedule and local favorites Jay el Revelde and Karina power up their chemistry when they preform together a mix of reggaeton, urban, merengue and mambo.
This is no time to sit back and relax. Pensacola’s Krew de Karnaval parades through the streets and onto the stage with special guests Casa Samba to celebrate a full scale Carnaval-style celebration. The New Orleans based team which includes drummers, stilt walkers and samba dancers will fill the stage with brilliant color and exuberance.
Fermin and Merengue 4 is back! One of the regions most exciting merengue bands returns to the Latino Festival to take the festivities into the night when duranguese band Mazizo Musical will take over and closes out the festival.
DJs Pablo, Snoopy and Roel will help keep activities moving along including the annual mega piñata smash, and pride-instilling presentations from folklorico groups and the ladies of Kappa Delta Chi, the University of West Florida’s first Latina-based sorority.
Admission is free, but please come prepared to support our vendors. We ask visitors to please not bring in outside food and drinks and consider donating what you can to help buy building materials to help repair homes of migrant families that were damaged by Hurricane Michael.
