El festival de recreación y aventuras al aire libre llega a Pensacola el 23 de octubre
PENSACOLA, Fla. – La ciudad de Pensacola está organizando su festival inaugural de recreación y aventura al aire libre en Pensacola, OAR Fest, de 10 a.m. a 2 p.m. el sábado 23 de octubre en Bayview Park ubicado en 2001 E. Llyod St. en Pensacola.
Se le invitará a las personas a participar en demostraciones instructivas gratuitas de kayak, surf de remo, windsurf y remo en el evento. La misión del OAR Fest es de exhibir oportunidades para remar y el uso del área al aire libre dentro de la Bahía de Pensacola y brindar educación ambiental que garantice que estas oportunidades recreativas estarán disponibles para los residentes y visitantes de Pensacola para las generaciones venideras. El festival también ofrecerá oportunidades tanto para los remadores veteranos como para aquellos interesados en probar el deporte por primera vez para participar en una carrera de remo competitiva y divertida. Los proveedores locales estarán presente para exhibir oportunidades recreativas al aire libre, equipo para actividades al aire libre y promover la administración y educación ambiental. Las concesiones de los vendedores locales de camiones de comida estarán disponibles para su compra.
Se alienta a las empresas locales que ofrecen recreación al aire libre, salud y acondicionamiento físico, y programas o educación sobre administración ambiental a que presenten una solicitud para convertirse en proveedores, mientras haya espacios disponibles. Outdoor Adventure and Recreation Festival Comes to Pensacola Oct. 23
PENSACOLA, Fla. – The City of Pensacola is hosting its inaugural Pensacola Outdoor Adventure and Recreation Festival, OAR Fest, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 23 at Bayview Park located at 2001 E. Llyod St. in Pensacola.
Guests will be invited to participate in free kayaking, stand-up paddle boarding, windsurfing and rowing instructional demonstrations at the event. The mission of the OAR Fest is to showcase paddling and outdoor opportunities within the Pensacola Bay area and provide environmental education that ensures these recreational opportunities will be available to Pensacola residents and visitors for generations to come. The festival will also offer opportunities for both veteran paddlers and those interested in trying the sport for the first time to participate in a competitive and fun paddling race. Local vendors will be onsite to showcase outdoor recreational opportunities, outdoor gear, and promote environmental stewardship and education. Concessions from local food truck vendors will be available for purchase.
Local businesses that offer outdoor recreation, health and fitness, and environmental stewardship programming or education are encouraged to apply to become a vendor, while spaces are available. Vendor registration is free for any vendor who provides free information, instruction, activities or services to the public.
