Mi nombre es Juliana Ayala y soy la nueva practicante de La Costa Latina esta primavera. Soy estudiante de Periodismo de la Pontificia Universidad Javeriana en Bogotá, Colombia. Como estudiante de Periodismo he descubierto que escribir es más que una pasión, entiendo que por medio de las letras se puede hacer algo más poderoso: informar. Comunicar. Justo en ese momento entiendo la importancia de las palabras y de la forma como son expresadas. Considero un privilegio que la vida me llevara a descubrir nuevos horizontes, nuevas alternativas, y me siento complacida de llegar a este maravilloso periódico que fusiona sin precedentes la cultura latina y la vida en el Norte de la Florida.
Es gracias a esa oportunidad que la vida y el periódico me brindan, que hoy tengo el gusto de presentarme ante ustedes, con la ilusión de crear contenido, dar rienda suelta a la pasión por mi cultura, con el compromiso de dar lo mejor de mí. Aquí comienzo la aventura de ser la practicante de este periódico que entre letras nos informa, nos acerca, y contribuye a la unión (creación) de la comunidad latina en el Norte de la Florida. Soy latina, madre, esposa, y tengo el anhelo de ser periodista, para hacer de los textos, las noticias y la investigación rigurosa, las herramientas que nos permitan establecer un diálogo constructivo en favor de la amistad y las causas comunes, para beneficio de una comunidad sin fronteras idiomáticas ni culturales.
My name is Juliana Ayala and I am the new intern of La Costa Latina for this spring. I am a journalism student at the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana in Bogotá, Colombia. As a journalism student I have discovered that writing is more than a passion, I understand that through letters you can do something more powerful: inform. Communicate. Just then I understand the importance of words and the way they are expressed. I consider it a privilege for life to lead me to discover new horizons, new alternatives, and I am pleased to arrive at this wonderful newspaper that merges unprecedented Latin culture and life in North Florida.
It is thanks to that opportunity that life and the newspaper give me, that today I have the pleasure of presenting myself to you, with the dream of creating content, giving free rein to the passion for my culture, with the commitment to give my best . Here I begin the adventure of being my internship with this newspaper that between letters informs us, brings us closer, and contributes to the union (creation) of the Latino community in North Florida. I am a Latina, mother, wife, and I have the desire to be a journalist, to make texts, news and rigorous research, the tools that allow us to establish a constructive dialogue in favor of friendship and common causes, for the benefit of a community without idiomatic or cultural borders.
