Comienzan las obras en el techo de Mobile Government Plaza
MOBILE, Ala. – En preparación para las obras de reemplazo del techo de la Torre Sur de Mobile Government Plaza que comenzaron la semana del 5 de agosto, los contratistas han instalado andamios de protección en el lado sur del edificio y una grúa levantará los materiales para colocarlos en el techo.
Los observadores y banderilleros en Church Street guiarán el tráfico y los peatones durante las elevaciones. Los peatones y el tráfico de vehículos al edificio tendrán derecho de paso durante este proceso.
Los conductores y peatones deben tener cuidado en la zona.
Las obras del techo de la Torre Sur durarán hasta diciembre del 2024. Los andamios de protección permanecerán en su lugar mientras duren las obras. El reemplazo del techo de la Torre Norte seguirá el mismo proceso después de que se completen las obras de la Torre Sur.
Estas obras al techo no son para el Atrio de Government Plaza. Se realizan en las torres del área de oficinas, que son originales del edificio.
Work beginning on Mobile Government Plaza roof
MOBILE, Ala. – In preparation for roof replacement work on the South Tower of Mobile Government Plaza that began the week of Aug. 5, contractors have installed overhead protection scaffolding on the south side of the building and a crane will be lifting materials into place on the roof.
Spotters and flaggers on Church Street will guide traffic and pedestrians during lifts. Pedestrians and building vehicle traffic will be given the right of way during this process.
Drivers and pedestrians should use caution in the area.
The South Tower roof work will last through December 2024. The protective scaffolding will remain in place for the duration of the work. The North Tower roof replacement will follow the same process after the South Tower work is completed.
This roof work is not on the Atrium of Government Plaza. It is on the office area towers, which are original to the building.
