Cena comunitaria: Damos gracias y damos la bienvenida
Recientemente, muchos latinos se han mudado al área. En el espíritu de unidad que hemos mantenido en Pensacola, el periódico La Costa Latina está organizando una cena comunitaria el sábado 20 de noviembre, el fin de semana posterior al Festival Latino.
El Día de Acción de Gracias es una festividad estadounidense destinada a celebrar la cosecha y otras bendiciones del pasado año. Se invita a los nuevos residentes y familias a asistir y compartir una cena tradicional de Acción de Gracias: pavo, puré de papas, verduras, pan y postre. Quizás tengamos algunas sorpresas.
Los latinos que han vivido aquí por un tiempo también están invitados a ayudar a dar la bienvenida a los nuevos miembros de nuestra familia. La idea es hacer nuevos amigos y seguir construyendo la unidad que hemos tenido entre todas las nacionalidades. La ubicación y la hora se darán a conocer en nuestra página de Facebook (latinomedia) y en nuestra próxima edición. Síganos por favor.
El Periódico La Costa Latina se encargará de la ubicación, las mesas, las sillas y la comida. Todo será gratis.
Sabemos que tenemos muchos residentes nuevos de Centroamérica y Puerto Rico que no conocen a mucha gente. Por favor, no sea tímido. Solo queremos darte la bienvenida.
Community Dinner: We Give Thanks and Welcome
We have had many new Latinos move into the area recently. In the spirit of unity that we have maintained in Pensacola, La Costa Latina Newspaper is hosting a community dinner on Saturday, November 20, the weekend after the Latino Festival.
Thanksgiving is an American holiday intended to celebrate the harvest and other blessings of the past year. New residents and families are invited to attend and share a traditional Thanksgiving dinner: turkey, mashed potatoes, veggies, bread and dessert. Maybe we’ll have some surprises.
Latinos that have lived here for a while are also invited to help welcome our new family members. The idea is to make new friends and continue building the unity we have had among all the nationalities. The location and time will be announced on our Facebook page (latinomedia) and in our next edition. Please follow us.
La Costa Latina Newspaper will arrange for the location, tables, chairs and food. Everything will be free.
We know we have many new residents from Central America and Puerto Rico that do not know many people. Please don’t be shy. We just want to welcome you.
