Tercer festival anual de cometas en Pensacola Beach en beneficio del Council on Aging
PENSACOLA BEACH, Fla. – El Council on Aging of West Florida traerá diversión intergeneracional de altos vuelos al Casino Beach de Pensacola del viernes 15 al domingo 17 de marzo para su tercer festival anual de cometas, Gulf Winds Credit Union Kites on the Coast. Un caleidoscopio de coloridas cometas bailará sobre las arenas blancas y los mares cristalinos como pieza central del fin de semana. Este evento comunitario gratuito ahora se extiende durante un fin de semana completo y presenta cometas enormes y espectaculares de Chicago Kite junto con demostraciones de cometas acrobáticas de SkyFX. El fin de semana también incluirá camiones de comida, actividades para niños y más en el Gulfside Pavilion.
Gulf Winds Credit Union Kites on the Coast promueve la diversión para todas las edades con el clásico pasatiempo de volar cometas sobre el hermoso entorno de Casino Beach. Las familias pueden traer una cometa para volar, comprar una en el evento o sentarse y disfrutar de la vista de las coloridas cometas volando sobre la costa. El evento del viernes comienza a las 4 p.m. hasta las 10 p.m., con un vuelo nocturno iluminado después del atardecer, y las festividades del sábado comenzarán a las 10 a.m. con otro vuelo nocturno iluminado, si el tiempo lo permite. El vuelo de cometas del domingo será desde las 10 a.m. hasta las 2 p.m.
Este evento tiene como objetivo unir a la comunidad y crear conciencia sobre el Council on Aging y sus programas y servicios para quienes necesitan asistencia para ellos mismos o para un ser querido anciano. También se aceptarán donaciones en el evento.
Third annual kite festival on Pensacola Beach to benefit Council on Aging
PENSACOLA BEACH, Fla. – Council on Aging of West Florida is bringing high-flying, intergenerational fun back to Pensacola’s Casino Beach Friday, March 15 through Sunday, March 17 for its third annual kite festival, Gulf Winds Credit Union Kites on the Coast! A kaleidoscope of colorful kites will dance above the white sands and clear seas as the centerpiece of the weekend. This free community event now stretches a full weekend, featuring massive, showstopping kites by Chicago Kite along with stunt kite demonstrations from SkyFX. The weekend will also include food trucks, kids’ activities, and more at the Gulfside Pavilion.
Gulf Winds Credit Union Kites on the Coast promotes fun across all ages with the classic pastime of kite flying over the beautiful setting of Casino Beach. Families can bring a kite to fly, purchase one at the event, or sit back and enjoy the sight of colorful kites soaring above the shoreline. Friday’s event kicks off at 4 p.m. until 10 p.m., with a lighted night fly after sunset, and Saturday’s festivities will begin at 10 a.m. with another lighted night fly, weather permitting. Sunday’s kite flying will be from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.
This event aims to bring the community together and raise awareness of Council on Aging and its programs and services for those who need assistance for themselves or for an aging loved one. Donations will also be accepted at the event.
