Turista adolescente se ahoga en golfo
DESTIN, Fla. – La Oficina del Sheriff del Condado de Okaloosa está investigando el ahogamiento de un turista de 13 años en el Golfo de México.
Los agentes fueron llamados al 3690 Scenic Highway 98 alrededor de las 11:30 a. m. del 7 de abril por cuenta de un nadador angustiado.
Los surfistas habían ayudado a rescatar a varios menores que vieron luchando en el agua a unas 65 yardas de la costa, pero no se pudo localizar a un niño. La OCSO, incluida la Unidad Marina, la Oficina del Sheriff del Condado de Walton, Seguridad en la Playa, EMS y los Departamentos de Bomberos buscaron al nadador desaparecido. La Guardia Costera y Florida Fish and Wildlife también ayudaron.
El adolescente fue localizado muerto en el Golfo por la Unidad Marina OCSO.
Teen tourist drowns in gulf
DESTIN, Fla. – The Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the drowning
of a 13-year-old tourist in the Gulf of Mexico.
Deputies were called to 3690 Scenic Highway 98 around 11:30 a.m. on April 7 for a distressed swimmer.
Surfers had helped rescue several juveniles they spotted struggling in the water about 65 yards offshore, but one child could not be located. The OCSO, including the Marine Unit, Walton County Sheriff’s Office, Beach Safety, EMS and Fire Departments searched for the missing swimmer. The Coast Guard and Florida Fish and Wildlife also assisted.
The teen was located deceased in the Gulf by the OCSO Marine Unit.
