La segunda fase del proyecto N. McGregor Ave. comenzará el 28 de febrero
MOBILE, Ala. – A partir del martes 28 de febrero, N. McGregor Ave. estará cerrada desde Old Shell Road hasta Springhill Ave. como parte de la segunda fase del proyecto N. McGregor. La segunda fase del proyecto, que se extenderá desde Stein Ave. hasta Old Shell Road, incluirá mejoras en las aceras, la iluminación, los bordillos y las cunetas. A lo largo del proyecto, N. McGregor Ave. estará cerrada al tráfico directo desde Old Shell Road hasta Springhill Ave. La ruta de desvío firmada será Old Shell Road hasta West I-65 Service Road hasta Springhill Ave. Los residentes de Springhill Manor deben usar N. Hathaway Road y York Place para acceder al vecindario. Se espera que el proyecto de N. McGregor Ave. se complete a fines del 2023.

Second phase of N. McGregor Ave. project set to begin Feb. 28
MOBILE, Ala. – Beginning Tuesday, February 28, N. McGregor Ave. will be closed from Old Shell Road to Springhill Ave. as the second phase of the N. McGregor project beings. The second phase of the project, which will run from Stein Ave. to Old Shell Road, will include sidewalk, lighting and curb and gutter improvements. It will also include underground drainage and utilities improvements.
Throughout the project, N. McGregor Ave. will be closed to through traffic from Old Shell Road to Springhill Ave. The signed detour route will be Old Shell Road to the West I-65 Service Road to Springhill Ave. Residents of Springhill Manor should use N. Hathaway Road and York Place to access the neighborhood. The N. McGregor Ave. project is expected to be completed by the end of 2023.
Throughout the project, the City of Mobile is strongly encouraging motorists to follow the signed detours and avoid cutting through neighborhoods to access major corridors. The Mobile Police Department will be enforcing all traffic laws in the project area. There will also be alternate access routes established for local businesses along N. McGregor Ave., which will remain open throughout the duration of the project. The City of Mobile will be adjusting and modifying the traffic control plan as the project progresses.
