Cold weather shelters opening throughout community
Individuals seeking temporary shelter from the cold may retreat to facilities throughout the area. When public shelters are necessary to protect residents from severe weather or disasters, communities will open safety shelters to the public.
During recent cold weather activations, shelters were opened in the following locations:

District 5 Office: 70 Logan Lane, Santa Rosa Beach, FL
Other facilities such as churches may also offer shelter when needed and available. Transportation to the shelters are sometimes provided by local police and organizations, and rules apply for staying at shelter facilities. Tenants are advised to bring their own food and supplies.
Cold weather shelters usually remain open while temperatures are below 40 degrees.
