NASA invita a medios latinos a prueba de cohetes
CONDADO DE HANCOCK, Miss. – Latino Media Gulf Coast y Telemundo New Orleans fueron invitados al Centro Espacial John C. Stennis de la NASA en Mississippi para presenciar una prueba de cohete de la NASA el mes pasado. Los periodistas se reunieron con ingenieros de Guatemala y Colombia y otro personal de ascendencia hondureña y cubana.
Una parte importante de la gira estuvo dirigida por Christian Pereira, un joven ingeniero que emigró de Guatemala cuando era adolescente y apasionado por su trabajo.
La prueba del motor RS-25 en el Centro Espacial John C. Stennis de la NASA ejecutó su ciclo completo de 500 segundos, una señal de éxito en la fase de prueba. Los ingenieros revisarán los datos de los sensores, cámaras y otras cosas para determinar si fue un éxito total.
NASA invite Latino Media to rocket test
HANCOCK COUNTY, Miss. – Latino Media Gulf Coast and Telemundo New Orleans were invited to NASA’s John C. Stennis Space Center in Mississippi to experience a NASA rocket test in March. Journalists met engineers from Guatemala and Colombia and other staff of Honduran and Cuban descent.
A significant portion of the tour was led by Christian Pereira, a young engineer who immigrated from Guatemala as a teenager and is passionate about his work.
The RS-25 engine test at NASA’s John C. Stennis Space Center ran it’s full 500-second cycle, a sign of success in the test phase. Engineers will review the data from sensors and cameras and other things to determine whether it is a complete success.
