Muerte de adolescente por fentanilo conlleva a cargo de homicidio para proveedor de narcóticos
FORT WALTON BEACH, Fla. – La Oficina del Sheriff del Condado de Okaloosa dijo en un informe que Sa Qualen Grant, de 17 años, de Fort Walton Beach, fue acusado de homicidio agravado de un menor, después de proporcionar narcóticos que llevaron a la muerte de una víctima de 16 años. Grant fue arrestado por la OCSO.
Los agentes habían respondido a una casa en Miller Street en Fort Walton Beach el 11 de febrero en referencia a una adolescente que fue encontrada muerta en su dormitorio. La investigación posterior y una búsqueda en la escena revelaron varias pastillas que luego se determinó que eran fentanilo.
La investigación reveló que la víctima y Grant acordaron reunirse en un lugar público donde la víctima compró pastillas a Grant. Los investigadores de la OCSO también pudieron localizar y ver cámaras de CCTV que mostraron la transacción. Los investigadores localizaron a Grant para una entrevista. Negó conocer a la víctima, pero su teléfono y las imágenes de video demostraron lo contrario.
El informe del médico forense sobre la autopsia y los resultados de laboratorio de la víctima revelaron que la causa de la muerte fue intoxicación por fentanilo. Se encontraron resultados positivos tanto para fentanilo como para norfentanilo en la sangre de la víctima.
Fentanyl Death of teen leads to homicide charge for provider of narcotics
FORT WALTON BEACH, Fla. – The Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office said in a report that 17 year old Sa Qualen Grant of Fort Walton Beach was charged with Homicide-Aggravated Manslaughter of a Child, after providing narcotics that led to the death of a 16 year old victim. Grant was arrested by the OCSO.
Deputies had responded to a home on Miller Street in Fort Walton Beach on February 11th in reference to a teen being found deceased in her bedroom. Subsequent investigation and a search at the scene revealed several pills that later were determined to be fentanyl.
The investigation revealed the victim and Grant agreed to meet at a public location where the victim bought pills from Grant. OCSO Investigators were also able to locate and view CCTV cameras that showed the transaction. Investigators located Grant for an interview. He denied knowing the victim, however his phone and the video footage showed otherwise.
The Medical Examiner’s Report for the Victim’s Autopsy and Lab Results revealed that the cause of death was Fentanyl Intoxication. There were positive findings for both Fentanyl and Norfentanyl in the victim’s blood.
