Los hondureños piden ayuda
CONDADO DE OKALOOSA, Fla. – Entre las diversas dificultades que el mundo ha experimentado en 2020, una agresiva temporada de huracanes ha devastado varios lugares de la costa del Golfo. El huracán Eta causó daños significantes en Honduras. Los residentes locales están trabajando febrilmente para enviar ayuda a las víctimas.
Carol Castro de Destin ha comenzado una página de GoFundMe y está pidiendo ayuda.
“Mi familia lo ha perdido todo”, dijo Castro.
Ella agrega que toda su familia ahora no tiene hogar y está buscando ayudarlos a reconstruir.

Este es el caso de muchas familias que sobrevivieron al huracán de categoría 4. La dueña de Tienda La Hondureña, María Rodríguez, está haciendo todo lo posible para enviar alimentos, ropa y suministros para bebés a Honduras. La dueña de la tienda ha estado recolectando donaciones y los voluntarios han ayudado a clasificarlas.
Se enviaron más de 100 cajas de donaciones a través de la tienda.
Hondurans plead for help
OKALOOSA COUNTY, Fla. – Among the various difficulties the world has experienced in 2020, an aggressive hurricane season has devastated various places in the Gulf Coast. Hurricane Eta caused significant damage in Honduras. Local residents are working feverishly to send aid to vicitms.
Carol Castro of Destin has begun a GoFundMe page and is asking for help.
“My family has lost everything,” Castro said.
She adds that her entire family is now homeless and is looking to help them rebuild.

This is the case for many families that survived the Category 4 hurricane. Tienda La Hondureña owner, Maria Rodriguez is doing all she can to send food, clothing and baby supplies to Honduras. The store owner has been collecting donations and volunteers have helped sort them.
More than 100 boxes of donations were shipped via the store.
A group in Mobile continues to collect donations through a GoFundMe page https://gf.me/u/y7vncp. The group aims to raise $7,000 including a donation from Samsung. The funds will be delivered through the Catholic Relief Fund.
