Intercambio de la 17th Avenue con rotonda abierta
PENSACOLA, Fla. – El nuevo intercambio de la 17th Avenue está abierto en Pensacola. El nuevo intercambio agrega acceso directo a Bayfront Parkway (carril izquierdo) desde el paso elevado y acceso continuo a East Gregory Street (carril derecho). Debajo del paso elevado, una nueva rotonda de un solo carril ha reemplazado la señal de tráfico que anteriormente estaba en 17th Avenue para proporcionar un viaje sin problemas entre el puente, 17th Avenue en dirección norte y sur, East Gregory Street y Bayfront Parkway.

Con la apertura del nuevo intercambio, dos carriles de tráfico en dirección este y oeste continúan compartiendo el eventual puente en dirección este (de Pensacola a Gulf Breeze) a medida que el trabajo continúa para completar la estructura en dirección oeste (de Gulf Breeze a Pensacola).
En la configuración final, el nuevo Pensacola Bay Bridge constará de dos puentes paralelos, cada uno equipado con tres carriles de circulación, arcenes interiores y exteriores y senderos multiusos adyacentes para peatones y ciclistas. 17th Avenue interchange with roundabout open
PENSACOLA, Fla. – The new 17th Avenue interchange is open in Pensacola. The new interchange adds direct access to Bayfront Parkway (left lane) from the flyover and continued access to East Gregory Street (right lane). Beneath the flyover, a new single-lane roundabout has replaced the traffic signal formerly at 17th Avenue to provide seamless travel between the bridge, 17th Avenue north and southbound, East Gregory Street, and Bayfront Parkway.

With the opening of the new interchange, two lanes of both east and westbound traffic continue sharing the eventual eastbound (Pensacola to Gulf Breeze) bridge as work continues to complete the westbound (Gulf Breeze to Pensacola) structure.
In the final configuration, the new Pensacola Bay Bridge will consist of two parallel bridges, each equipped with three travel lanes, inside and outside shoulders, and adjacent multiuse paths for pedestrians and bicyclists. The $430 million project is currently estimated for completion in 2022.
