Festival Latino y Gala del Mes de la Herencia Hispana en septiembre
Se acerca el Mes de la Herencia Hispana. ¡Eso significa que es tiempo de festivales! Desde el 2005, la comunidad ha celebrado la cultura, la comida y la música latina en el Festival Latino anual de Pensacola. Este año, el festival se combinará con la Noche de Galería el viernes 20 de septiembre en Palafox Street. El Festival Latino tendrá ocho cuadras de música en vivo, presentaciones culturales y deliciosa comida.
El centro de Pensacola se transformará en un mercadito típico, una cuadra llena de baratijas culturales, ropa, artesanías y otros artículos. La inscripción para vendedores está abierta en https://latinomediainc.com/latino-festival-2024. Los espacios cuestan solo $60. También hay espacios disponibles para vendedores de comida, pero son muy limitados.
La Gala del Mes de la Herencia Hispana de este año se llevará a cabo el domingo 29 de septiembre en el Centro Comunitario de Sanders Beach. El tema de la gala de este año es Leyendas Latinas con el invitado especial, Tito Puente, Jr., quien compartirá su experiencia de crecer rodeado de leyendas como su padre y la Reina de la Salsa, Celia Cruz.
Otro punto destacado de la gala de este año es la celebración de las leyendas en la comunidad que han contribuido a la vitalidad de la cultura latina en la Costa del Golfo. La gala también incluye presentaciones culturales, baile, barra libre y cena a cargo del chef Manuel Rodríguez. La gala estará presentada por Miguel Aldahondo de Pensacola.

Latino Festival and Hispanic Heritage Month Gala in September
Hispanic Heritage Month approaches. That means its festival time! Since 2005, the community has celebrated Latino culture, food and music at the annual Latino Festival in Pensacola. This year, the festival will be combined with Gallery Night on Friday, September 20 on Palafox Street. The Latino Festival will include eight blocks of Latino music, cultural performances and delicious food.
Downtown Pensacola will be transformed to a typical mercadito, a full block of cultural trinkets, apparel, crafts and other items. Vender registration is open at https://latinomediainc.com/latino-festival-2024. Spaces are just $60. Food vendor spaces are also available, but very limited.
This year’s Hispanic Heritage Month Gala will be held Sunday, September 29 at Sanders Beach Community Center. The theme of this year’s gala is Latino Legends featuring special guest, Tito Puente, Jr. who will share his experience growing up around legends like his father and the Queen of Salsa, Celia Cruz.
Another highlight of this year’s gala is a celebration of community legends that have contributed to the vibrancy of Latino culture in the Gulf Coast. The gala also includes cultural presentations, dancing, cash bar and dinner by chef Manuel Rodriguez. The gala will be Emcee’d by Pensacola’s very own, Miguel Aldahondo.
