Clínica médica gratuita llegará a Milton, se necesitan voluntarios
MILTON, Fla. – Remote Area Medical, o RAM, está reclutando profesionales médicos voluntarios y personal de apoyo para un evento público en Milton el 2 y 3 de diciembre donde se brindará atención médica gratuita a la comunidad. Todavía se necesitan voluntarios bilingües para ambos días para ayudar a los pacientes de habla hispana.
La propietaria de La Costa Latina, Grace Resendez McCaffery, forma parte del comité organizativo e insta a los intérpretes y otros a registrarse como voluntarios.
Las clínicas emergentes administradas por RAM ofrecen atención médica, dental y de la vista. No se requiere información de calificación para recibir atención, y no se necesita identificación. Los representantes de RAM dicen que nadie es rechazado. Este es el primer evento de regreso de RAM al área desde el inicio de la pandemia de COVID-19.
El evento se llevará a cabo en Milton High School localizada en Stewart Street. A menudo los pacientes comienzan a hacer fila la noche anterior para recibir el servicio cuando el evento comienza el sábado por la mañana.
RAM está solicitando dentistas y asistentes dentales, cirujanos orales, higienistas, oftalmólogos, obstetras, ópticos y técnicos de la vista. También se necesitan médicos, asistentes médicos, enfermeras, enfermeras practicantes, personal de apoyo y profesionales de la salud de la mujer.
De igual importancia para el éxito de la clínica de atención remota son los voluntarios dispuestos a hacer de todo, desde la interpretación hasta el montaje y desmontaje del evento. Hay una necesidad de aquellos que estén dispuestos a hacer el trabajo de estacionamiento durante la noche también, o actuar como guías para los pacientes. Free medical clinic coming to Milton, volunteers needed
MILTON, Fla. – Remote Area Medical, or RAM, is recruiting volunteer medical professionals and support staff for a public event in Milton December 2 and 3 where free health care will be provided to the community.
La Costa Latina owner, Grace Resendez McCaffery, is serving on the organizational committee and urging interpreters and others to register to volunteer.
The pop-up clinics run by RAM offer medical, dental and vision care. No qualifying information is required to receive care, and no ID is needed. RAM representatives say no one is turned away. This is RAM’s first return event to the area since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The event will be held at Milton High School on Stewart Street. Patients often start lining up the night before to receive service when the event begins Saturday morning.
RAM is calling for dentists and dental assistants, oral surgeons, hygienists, ophthalmologists, obstetricians, opticians and vision techs. Physicians, physician assistants, nurses, nurse practitioners, support staff and women’s health professionals are also needed.
Equally important to the success of the remote care clinic are volunteers willing to do everything from interpreting to event set up and break down. There’s a need for those willing to do overnight parking lot duty as well, or act as guides for patients.
