PENSACOLA, Fla. – El neurocirujano pediátrico Dr. Gus Pérez se ha unido a la red regional de médicos de Ascension Sacred Heart Pensacola. El Dr. Pérez verá pacientes en Ascension Sacred Heart Pensacola ubicado en el 5153 N. 9th Ave. Suite 302.
El Dr. Pérez brinda atención neuroquirúrgica especializada a adultos y niños con anomalías adquiridas del sistema nervioso que incluyen lesiones cerebrales traumáticas, tumores cerebrales y espinales, hidrocefalia, espasticidad, así como anomalías congénitas del cerebro, el cráneo, la columna vertebral y la médula espinal.
Tiene un interés especial en técnicas de imagen avanzadas en tumores cerebrales pediátricos y adultos; visualización quirúrgica novedosa en tumores cerebrales pediátricos y adultos, técnicas y terapias novedosas en epilepsia. Se esfuerza por proporcionar una experiencia de atención que abarque la comprensión, el apoyo, el respeto, la toma de decisiones dual y la transparencia para sus pacientes y sus familias.
Recibió su título de médico en el UT Southwestern Medical Center en Dallas, Texas, y completó su residencia en el Mississippi Medical Center ienJackson, Miss., Seguido de una beca en el Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital/Stanford Children’s Health en Palo Alto, Cal. Perez habla español.
Ascension Medical Group welcomes pediatric neurosurgeon
PENSACOLA, Fla. – Pediatric neurosurgeon Dr. Gus Perez has joined Ascension Medical Group’s regional physician network. Dr. Perez will see patients at Ascension Sacred Heart Pensacola located at 5153 N. 9th Ave. Suite 302.
Dr. Perez provides specialized neurosurgical care to adults and children with acquired anomalies of the nervous system including traumatic brain injury, brain and spinal tumors, hydrocephalus, spasticity, as well as congenital anomalies of the brain, skull, spine and spinal cord.
He has a special interest in advanced imaging techniques in adult and pediatric brain tumors; novel surgical visualization in adult and pediatric brain tumors, novel techniques and therapies in epilepsy. He strives to provide a care experience that encompasses understanding, support, respect, dual decision-making, and transparency for his patients and their families.
He received his medical degree at UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, Texas, and completed his residency at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, Miss., followed by a fellowship at Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital/Stanford Children’s Health in Palo Alto, Cal. Perez speaks Spanish.
